1) Wardruna is one of my favourite bands. If you ever have a chance to witness them perform live, I strongly recommend it.
So it should come as no surprise that the tune for Helheim and its goddess Hel is Helvegen. I've listened to it many times while writing Wyrd Gods and I'm listening to this particular version now as I rewrite the 10th World. (About a third of the book is set in Helheim.)

2) What became To Trick a Trickster was one of the first things I wrote in what is now Timelessness, and it's inspired by this tune. Over twenty years ago.
I tried to capture the dynamic between these two, the conflict of language and attitude, the intensity of that doomed connection. Not sure I succeeded, but it was a start.
